Valleyfair Opens For The Season

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - It's a true sign of the season – Valleyfair opens Friday.

It's the Shakopee park's 40th anniversary season. To celebrate, the park has daily trivia questions on Twitter. For the next week, you could win prizes, tickets, and more.

The park is also releasing its Run and Ride series!

"The thrill of the run and the thrill of the ride - all in one day. Valleyfair is excited to present the Run and Ride series, which will have your heart pounding during one of the running events through the park and then your lungs screaming as you take on some of the best rides in the Upper Midwest, including Wild Thing & Steel Venom. With a half-marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1-mile fun run to choose from, there's something for everyone to try. Free park entry for the half-marathon and 10k, and discounts for 5K and 1-mile fun run."
