New State Fair Attractions Announced
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We're about one month away from the Great Minnesota Get-Together. While there are tried-and-true State Fair staples, there will be several new attractions to enjoy this year.
The biggest change -- birds will be back following a ban because of bird flu concerns last year. The brand-new hen house at the Miracle of Birth Center will feature two flocks where visitors can learn more about egg production and can see a backyard chicken coop.
Also new this year -- kids can check out new hands-on activities at the Kemps Little Farm Hands exhibit. The new experiences highlight honeybees, rain, and locally grown crops.
There will also be daily ribbon-winning recipe card giveaways and new competitions, including draft horse barrel racing.
The Fair runs Aug. 25th through Labor Day, Sept. 5.
