3 Dead After Car Hits Motorcycle In Pine County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Three people are dead after a crash in Pine County Friday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 54-year-old Daniel Bruneau was driving a Buick Century north on Highway 107 at about 11 p.m. when he lost control. The Century crossed into oncoming lanes and was struck by a Harley Davidson traveling south on the highway.

The two motorcycle passengers -- 38-year-old John Lampman of Shoreview and 29-year-old Stacy Johnson of Bethel -- were killed.

Bruneau, from Isanti, was also killed, but his passenger, 39-year-old Brent Ambrose of Cambridge, was not injured.

The state patrol says Lampman and Johnson were not wearing helmets.
