Wis. Toddler Drowns In Above-Ground Swimming Pool

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (AP) — A young boy found unresponsive in an above-ground swimming pool in Menomonee Falls has died.

Police say the father of the 2-year-old was trying to resuscitate his son when first responders arrived Monday afternoon. The boy was rushed to Community Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Authorities say the death appears to be accidental. Local police and the Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating.
