Police: 212 Guns Recovered From 4th Precinct This Year

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minneapolis Police Department said Thursday that nine guns were recovered from the Fourth Precinct over the past week, from Aug. 30 to Sept. 9.

Police say so far this year, 212 guns from the Fourth Precinct have been placed into evidence. Authorities say they are guns that were used to commit crimes or were possessed illegally.

Across the city of Minneapolis, 448 guns have been recovered so far this year.

  1. How many of these firearms were functional? How many stolen? How many conviction and prosecutions occurred? Were the stolen guns returned to their owners? How many were actual firearms and not BB guns? There is a lot of PR spin courtesy of MPD.

      Those gun statistics are appalling. Of the hundreds of blacks shot in north Minneapolis and downtown last year, only 50 or so died. It just makes sense to pay at least $100 each so that those guns with rusted out barrels from being carried in sweaty pants can be upgraded to something more accurate. Here in the Socialist Village our blacks deserve their best shot.

    How many were stolen from “responsible” gun owners who failed to secure or keep them safely locked up in their homes? I read so many police reports were guns are the main target of break-ins. If you have a gun, lock it up, especially when you’re not home!
