4 Things To Do Today From Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- With a nice and breezy late summer day ahead of us, get out and make the most of it. Here are some of the ideas that Rachel Slavik and Mike Augustyniak shared with us on WCCO 4 News Saturday Morning!

1. The 2016 Fall Parade of Homes Tour is back. There are more than 400 homes to tour this year all across the extended metro. You'll experience new homes and neighborhoods ranging in price, style and locations. The tour is now through Oct. 2. Hours Saturday are noon to 6 p.m. All homes are free to see except the four dream homes, which cost $5.

2. Bring you pet to the Renaissance Festival! There will be more than 40 pet-related vendors teaching pet nutrition, safety, fostering and showing off new products. Along with wiener dog races, corgis and pugs will also compete this year. There's a pet costume contest as well. Pet Fest is Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m. Tickets are about $24.

3. Give your kids a new understanding of the "Forces at Play!" This is a new exhibit at the Minnesota Children's Museum in downtown St. Paul. Kids can take command of air and water power, like devising your own ping pong ball launcher or playing in the wackiest car wash ever. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission is about $10.

4. This weekend only it's the 9th annual Minnesota's Home By Architects Tour. It features 17 new and remodeled residences all designed by members of the American Institute of Architects Minnesota. You'll also have the chance to meet the design team and ask questions about their process firsthand. Tours go from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m.
