MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Macy’s is ramping up its workforce for the holiday season.
The department store said it will need 83,000 workers for its Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s stores, call centers and distribution centers this year.
Nearly 1,200 of those positions will be in the Minneapolis district, which also includes stores in the Dakotas and northern Wisconsin.
The first national holiday hiring day will take place on Friday, Sept. 30.
