Woman Who Hid 2 Daughters From Father Sentenced

HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota woman will be on probation for six years and serve jail time after being found guilty of hiding her two teenage daughters from their father for more than two years.

Fifty-year-old Sandra Grazzini-Rucki of Elko was ordered Wednesday to serve 34 days in jail this year. She must serve 15 days in each subsequent year until 2022. She must report each year on Nov. 18, the anniversary of the day her daughters were found last year.

The teens were found at a horse ranch in western Minnesota. Prosecutors say Grazzini-Rucki drove the then-13- and 14-year-old girls almost 200 miles from Lakeville, where they were living, to the ranch near Herman to hide them during a bitter divorce.

Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom said after the verdict that Grazzini-Rucki’s actions led to significant trauma for her daughters and impacted the rest of the family.

The girls moved back in with their father late last year.

Fined only a dollar a day!! Are you kidding me?? I got a $20 bill that says the judge was another women protecting this low-life scuz-bucket! She also demanded to ‘serve her sentence’, which means that after about 1 year in jail, she has to be released with NO probation or parole, ie: the law can no longer keep tabs on this celler-deweller and she will be free to continue to harass a annoy the girls father & his family. Nice going judge!! No doubt another liberal appointed nut-job that is contributing to the lowest faith in the judicial system since the Soviet Union.
