2 Men Killed After Getting Out Of Vehicles On Pine County Highway

PINE CITY, Minn. (AP) — Two men have been struck and killed along an eastern Minnesota highway.

The State Patrol says the two had been in a minor accident on Highway 18 in Pine County Thursday and got out of their vehicles to inspect the damage.

They were hit by a car driven by a 44-year-old Rutledge man. The patrol says 68-year-old Ronnie Colsch of Caledonia died at the scene. A 63-year-old Finlayson man died at a Duluth hospital. The name of the second victim was not immediately released.

Authorities say Colsch sideswiped a semi driven by the second victim as it backed into a driveway along the highway.
