Cheryl Reeve Wins WNBA Coach Of The Year

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The awards keep rolling in for the Minnesota Lynx, as head coach Cheryl Reeve was voted Coach of the Year.

Reeve has been one of the league's most prolific coaches since joining the Lynx six years ago. The team has won 155 games and three WNBA Championships under her leadership. Reeve's winning percentage since joining the Lynx (.706) ranks first in league history.

The Lynx had a record-setting 2016 under Reeve, winning a team record 13 games to start the season. They finished the regular season with a franchise-best 28 wins.

This is Reeve's second Coach of the Year win after winning in 2011 when the Lynx won 14 more games than the year before and finished with the league's best record.

Reeve is currently trying to guide the Lynx to a fourth championship. They lead the Phoenix Mercury 1-0 in the semifinals.
