Pierce Co. Sheriff: 1 Injured In Motorcycle-Deer Collision

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Pierce County Sheriff's Office says a 29-year-old man is in the hospital after he collided with a deer on his motorcycle early Monday evening.

According to the sheriff's office, they received a report at 6:14 p.m. of an accident involving a motorcycle and deer with one injury. The incident occurred on Highway 35 east of Cty Tk EE in Isabelle Township.

Authorities say Stephen Kelly of Hastings was traveling northbound on Highway 35 when a deer jumped out in front of him and he was thrown from his motorcycle.

Kelly was taken to Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Red Wing via ambulance. His current condition is unknown.
