Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Car In North Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman has died after she was hit by a car in north Minneapolis Tuesday morning.

According to Minneapolis Police, it happened at the intersection of Broadway Avenue West and Sheridan Avenue North at around 8:43 a.m. Responding officers and paramedics provided medical aid to the victim before transporting her to North Memorial Medical Center.

On Wednesday evening, Minneapolis Police announced that the woman had died as a result of her injuries. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the name of the victim and the cause of death at a later date.

Police say the driver stopped after the incident, and is cooperating with investigators.
