Tim Hortons Headed To The Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Lovers of Tim Hortons' coffee and donuts don't have to wait much longer to enjoy the Canadian restaurant's treats in the Twin Cities.

The business announced Thursday that it's opening a location next month in the Mall of America, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports.

The restaurant will be on the second level, near the rotunda.

Meanwhile, the chain is also working to open shops in Brooklyn Park and the Dinkytown area.

Tim Hortons first served coffee and donuts to Canadians in 1964. The coffee shop was created by hockey legend Tim Horton, who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Now, Tim Hortons has thousands of locations across North America, with several locations in outstate Minnesota.
