Transatlantic Love Affair Reprises Fringe Show At Illusion Theater

Locally heralded theater company, Transatlantic Love Affair, is reprising its incredibly popular 2015 Minnesota Fringe Festival show for a run at the Illusion Theater.

On Nov. 5, "105 Proof, or The Killing of Mack "The Silencer" Klein" will open for a 12-performance run.

The show, set in the prohibition era, shares the story of a small-time bootlegger. Using themes of ambition and revenge, the show explores what happens when you go too far in the wrong direction and can't turn back.

The show marked TLA's return to the Minnesota Fringe Festival in 2015 and was a huge success. The fifth top-selling show, it averaged a five-start review from over 72 online audience reviews.

"105 Proof" stars Amber Bjork, Heather Bunch, Emily Dussault, Eric Marinus, Derek Lee Miller, Nick Sexton, Allison Witham and Nick Wolf.

It is accompanied by two musicians, Dusting Tessier on guitar and Adam J. Patterson on drums, channeling the blues.

"105 Proof: of The Killing of Mack "The Silencer" Klein" opens Saturday, Nov. 5. It closes Nov. 20, with shows running Thursday through Sunday. There will be one student matinee on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

The show is recommended for audiences ages 16 and up. Tickets cost $17 - $25.
