St. Paul Police Investigate 'Gruesome' Sunday Night Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The St. Paul Police Department is investigating what it's calling a "gruesome" homicide that occurred Sunday night.

According to the police, the incident occurred at 10:30 p.m. inside a home on 56 West Rose Ave.

During a press conference Monday, police said they responded to a weapons call at the home. When they arrived, officers found a man deceased with head trauma. Police called the crime scene "gruesome."

The victim's identity and cause of death will be confirmed by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.

Police say there was another person inside the home at the time. No arrests have been made at this time and police do not believe the incident to be random.
