Survey: Actors Are Biggest Draw For Movie Goers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – When it comes to picking out which movie to watch, how big of a draw is winning an Oscar?

Apparently, not as big as some other factors.

A new survey by Morning Consult shows that star power is the biggest draw.

The survey found 71 percent of people said it either has some influence or a strong influence on their decision to watch a movie. That's followed by quality of the movie trailer, then movie-goer and critics reviews.

Winning an Oscar comes in 5th at just 35 percent.
