Hennepin Theatre Trust Founder Tom Hoch To Run For Mpls. Mayor

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Another Democrat is getting ready to throw his hat into the ring for mayor of Minneapolis.

Tom Hoch announced his candidacy outside of the State Theatre on Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis Tuesday morning.

The site of the announcement is no accident.

Among Hoch's former jobs: the founder of the Hennepin Theatre Trust. He was also chairman of the board of the downtown council.

He will be the third candidate to challenge the incumbent mayor, Betsy Hodges.
