MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Three teenagers were hurt after a pickup truck they were riding in was hit by a train Saturday afternoon in northern Minnesota.

It happened at about 4 p.m. Saturday in Bassett Township in St. Louis County. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s officer says it appears the driver drove through a stop sign and onto the train tracks. All three teenagers in the truck were injured and taken to a hospital.

The sheriff’s office is investigating what led up to the incident.
