MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A home in Woodbury sustained significant damage after lightning struck its roof early Tuesday morning.

According to officials, around 4:30 a.m. a neighbor called to report a fire at a home on the 9400 block of Wentlock Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters determined a lightning strike had caused the fire.

The owner was not home at the time.
