Hennepin County Sheriff Says He’s Running For Re-Election

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Sheriff of Hennepin County says he will be running for re-election next year.

There had been speculation Sheriff Rich Stanek would seek the Republican nomination for Governor. Sheriff Stanek made the announcement on his Facebook page.

He said his work has become personal for him and his family. Stanek served in the state House from 1995 until 2003. He is currently serving his third term as sheriff.
