MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible drowning on the Crow River Monday.

According to Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty, just before 7 p.m. deputies received a call of a suspected drowning in the North Fork Crow River near the Keats Avenue Bridge.

The caller told officials the person they had been swimming with went underwater and did not resurface.

The victim was described as an 18-year-old male.

Recuse crews began a search, but suspended it around 9:30 p.m. due to lack of daylight.

Searches resumed Tuesday morning.
