I-35W Closed In Bloomington, Burnsville Over Weekend
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A heads up to drivers about a big road closure this weekend.
Starting at 10 p.m. Friday night, Interstate 35W will be closed in Burnsville and Bloomington.
MnDOT is replacing the 86th Street Bridge with a bridge that's two feet higher because tall trucks keep slamming into it. They're also repaving and doing other maintenance.
Traffic will be detoured onto I-35E and Highway 77.
I-35W should reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
