2 Charged In Separate Infant Deaths In Dakota County

Two people were charged in Dakota County Friday in separate cases involving the deaths of infants. The Dakota County Attorney’s office charged 46-year-old Paul Richard Sandell and 63-year-old Janet Marie Kartheiser with one count each of second-degree manslaughter.

MnDOT: Adopt A Highway Volunteers Save Minn. $7M

Volunteers for Adopt a Highway saved the state of Minnesota roughly $7 million last year in cleaning costs, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. MnDOT said volunteers with the program picked up 970,000 pounds of liter in 2014.
