The PGA of America announced Monday its ticketing process for the 2016 Ryder Cup, which will be held at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska. The Ryder Cup, which puts the best PGA Tour professional players from the USA against the best professional players from Europe in a match-play format, will be held Sept. 27-Oct. 2, 2016.
Minnesota will host the Ryder Cup at Chaska’s Hazeltine National Golf Club in September of 2016. Former PGA Championship winner Davis Love III will captain the United States team. He told WCCO’s Dave Lee about some changes leading up to the event.
Before Minnesota plays host to the Super Bowl in 2018, the state will host an even more popular event. The next Ryder Cup will be played in Minnesota in September 2016.

Kenny Perry scrambled for a birdie on the 18th hole Sunday to beat hard-charging Bernhard Langer by a stroke in the Champions Tour’s 3M Championship. Perry closed with a 7-under 65 for his second victory of the year and seventh overall on the 50-and-over tour. He finished at 23-under 193 at TPC Twin Cities.
