Bridgewater Is Learning Best By Playing Says Vikings Head Coach

Teddy Bridgewater has learned on the fly since taking over as the Minnesota Vikings quarterback after Matt Cassel was injured in Week 3. Head coach Mike Zimmer is happy with the progress the rookie first round draft pick has made in his 10 starts. The Vikings are 0-5 in divisional games this season. They have one game left to get Zimmer’s first win against a division-rival. Linebacker Chad Greenway is one of eight finalists for the inaugural NFL’s Sportsmanship Award.

The Minnesota Vikings jumped out to a 14-0 lead before surrendering 16 unanswered points to fall to the Detroit Lions Sunday at Ford Field. The Vikings got early touchdowns from Matt Asiata and Greg Jennings, but a pair of Teddy Bridgewater interceptions turned the game around. Adrian Peterson’s Appeal Denied, Suspension Upheld

The NFL’s hard line on Adrian Peterson held up. The league-appointed arbitrator for Peterson’s appeal affirmed the unpaid suspension until at least next spring, the final result of the child-abuse case that kept the Minnesota running back out of all but one game this season and widened the rift between the NFL and its players over the fairness of the disciplinary process.

Injury Report: Vikings To Be Without Four Starters Against The Lions

The Minnesota Vikings have seen their fair shares of injuries this season with four starters already on injured reserve. This week they will travel to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions without four more starters. Anthony Barr, Sharrif Floyd, Robert Blanton and Charlie Johnson all were declared out for the game. In total, the Vikings have nine players listed on the injury report. The Lions have nine players on their respective list as well.
