Men's Fall Fashion Trends From Twill
Fashion may change every season, but Scott Dayton, owner of Twill in Edina, recommends buying classic, timeless pieces that will never go out of style. This fall, there is a return to classic, preppy clothing that are reminiscent of the 1960's. If you're looking to update your wardrobe, here are some of Dayton's recommendations.

Fall Sports Coats
Fitted sport coats are essential for fall. This season the coats are trimmer and shorter for a more polished look. Sport coats can be worn with jeans for a casual look or with a skinny tie and dress pants for a more formal look. Tweed was popular on the runway and translates well to everyday wear.
Fall Ties
The main differences between spring/summer ties and fall/winter ties are color and fabric. Choose deep, rich colors like eggplant, hunter green and dark blue this season. Plaids are great for fall and should be paired with solid colored dress shirts. Cashmere and wool fabrics work well for both fall and winter.
Plaid
Plaid jackets, dress shirts and suits were all over the runway this season. Outdoor plaid coats made up the first four looks from Burberry Prorsum, where the Balmain collection featured plaid shirts, vests and scarves. Choose a large pattern for a simple, clean look.
Pocket Squares
If you're looking for a simple accessory to dress up your look, try a pocket square. Use pocket squares to add a pop of color or, if you're looking for a more casual look, to replace your tie. A simple triangle fold adds a touch of class to any outfit.
Suede Shoes
Whether you like lace up or slip on shoes, suede shoes are a wardrobe essential. Designers like Giorgio Armani showed both slip on and lace up suede shoes this season. Deep shades of blue, grey, brown and black were popular colors and can be paired with almost any color pant.
