Thank you Don for doing the news so well and times of entertaining your viewers. You made the show more real by looking relaxed and mentioning family and your own views. My mother is going to be 81 in April and will miss you greatly. Her eyes would just light up when you would come on. She loved watching that very handsome guy with blue eyes and white hair. Always hoping to meet you some day in person. If you ever need a fishing partner, she’d be thrilled to join you for the day. Don’t worry she baits her own hook, removes her own fish, plus cleans them. Crop-pies are her favorite to fish, she is a true fishermen. (her name: Mary C. Lunzer Roseville, MN

When I first moved to Minnesota I thought DOn was kinda stuck up…but then I learned more about him. I learned about the great stuff he does behind the scenes and the way he helps people without asking for publicity. You are a great guy and will be missed from the news. Why not start your own netwrok like Oprah did, you can call it DSN…Don Shelby Network.

  3. SuzieQ Hausladen says:

Congrates Don on doing such an amazing job over the years. I loved Dave Moore and didn’t think anyone could ever replace him, but you have done such a great job, that now I’m saying that no one could ever replace you. Thanks for all your years of service to us and have a great retirement.

  4. John and Sue Talcott says:

Don, you are as trusted as Walter was when you brought us the news. However, my wife joked that you were starting to look a bit like Ted Baxter!
What always came through was your gentllemanly demeanor and the respect you displayed for those around you. You have set an example worth emulating and we will always be grateful. Enjoy the next seasons.
