Deduno left his previous start against the Royals early with soreness in his right shoulder. Ramirez fractured his left shin after fouling a ball off his leg in the fifth inning of Thursday's game against the Royals. The Twins have recalled left-hander Pedro Hernandez from Double-A New Britain and outfielder Darin Mastroianni from Triple-A Rochester to fill the open roster spots.
