2 Sentenced For Unrelated Violent Crimes At Red Lake Indian Reservation

The United States Attorney’s Office announced Thursday the sentencing of two men who committed unrelated violent crimes on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. In the U.S. District Court in Duluth Wednesday, Fernando Luis May-Gil-Garcia, 29, and 25-year-old Avery Wade Schoenborn both received sentences of 84 months, or 7 years, in prison. Both are enrolled members of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians.

Man Gets More Than 7 Years For Shooting Homeless Man

A 23-year-old man was sentenced Monday to more than seven years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting a homeless man in Minneapolis’ Franklin Avenue Library last year.
