Minnesota Vikings Facing Different Type Of Quarterback In RG3

The Minnesota Vikings may face a different quarterback and offense in Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins than it has all season long. The Redskins utilize Griffin’s running ability by using an option scheme. Griffin’s rushing total on the season is just 58 yards less than the other five starting quarterbacks the Viking have faced this season combined.

49ers Slam Vikings 17-6

Alex Smith and the San Francisco 49ers picked up right where they left off last season in their preseason opener. Smith tossed a 4-yard touchdown pass to Brett Swain on the opening possession, backup Colin Kaepernick ran 78 yards for a score on the next and the 49ers breezed past the Minnesota Vikings 17-6 Friday night.
