3 Brothers Charged In Western Wisconsin Cockfighting Ring

Three brothers are being charged after authorities shut down a bird fighting ring, operating on several farms in western Wisconsin. Investigators charged Ernesto, Augustine and Idelio Benitez Tuesday.

1,200 Birds Rescued From Western Wis. Cockfighting Ring

Wisconsin authorities and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals have seized about 1,200 birds from a cockfighting ring in Polk and St. Croix counties. The ASPCA says law enforcement executed search warrants Tuesday at four western Wisconsin properties, detaining several people.

42 Dogs Need Homes After Being Rescued From Puppy Mill

More than three dozen dogs are looking for homes in the Twin Cities after being rescued from a puppy mill. The dogs came from a giant breeding operation in Michigan. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) took more than 150 dogs from the facility.
