Man Suspected In Baby’s Death Arrested

Authorities say a man suspected of assaulting a 1-year-old boy in Brooklyn Park, who later died from his injuries, is in police custody. Brooklyn Park Police say 23-year-old Reggie Delaney Harper is accused of assaulting Kazerion Harper earlier this week. Police say they believe Harper is the boy’s father.

Police: Suspect Sought In Assault, Death Of 1-Year-Old Boy

Police are looking for a 23-year-old man after a 1-year-old boy died of an apparent assault on Tuesday. Brooklyn Park Police were called just before 8:30 p.m. to the 2100 block of 74th Ct. North on a report of a 1-year-old boy not breathing.

Duluth Man Gets 40 Years In Daughter’s Suffocation

A Duluth man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for suffocating his 1-year-old daughter out of frustration with her crying. Thirty-year-old Christopher Peterson received the maximum sentence Wednesday in St. Louis County court after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in October.

Man Indicted For First-Degree Murder In Baby’s Death

A 32-year-old Albany, Minn. man has been indicted on murder charges in connection with the Sept. 3 death of his infant son. Robert John Kaiser was indicted by a Stearns County grand jury Friday for first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder in the death of a 2-month-old boy.

Police Investigate Baby’s Death In N. Minneapolis Home

A 4-month-old Minneapolis baby has died, and officers are trying to figure out how it happened. Minneapolis Police say the child’s mother, Shalynda Raino, called 911 at about 8:50 a.m., saying her baby needed help.

Sheriff: 14-Year-Old Mother Hospitalized After Newborn’s Death

The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office has released more information regarding the newborn death in Butterfield, Minn. At 5:45 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a home on 120 3rd Street North to the report of an unresponsive newborn.

Day Care Provider Gets 30 Days In Jail, Community Service In Baby’s Death

A 46-year-old Farmington day care provider was sentenced Tuesday in connection with the July 2012 death of a 3-month-old at her in-home day care. Rebecca Lynn Graupmann was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 80 hours of community service and issued a $500 fine in the death of Kaiden Robert Staebell.

Police Investigating Baby’s Death In Plymouth

Authorities are investigating after a baby was found not breathing at a Plymouth apartment Wednesday morning, taken to a hospital and died. Plymouth Police responded to the 6100 block of Vicksburg Lane at about 6:40 a.m. on a report that an infant was not breathing.

Medical Examiner: Champlin Baby’s Death Ruled A Homicide

Authorities said Thursday night a death investigation in Champlin involving a 4-month-old baby dating back to February has been ruled a homicide. Few details about the case have been made available, but the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Madyson Lanae Johnson of Champlin.
