Downtown Minneapolis is in full swing as a busy weekend gets underway. Between All-Star Game events, the Basilica Block Party, and the Imagine Dragons concert at TCF Bank Stadium, there’s something for everyone in Minneapolis this weekend.
It’s a big weekend coming up for downtown. The All-Star Game FanFest, a five-day festival, begins at the Convention Center open at 9 a.m. Friday. Friday night, thousands more people will head to downtown Minneapolis for the Basilica Block Party. It’s a two-day concert at the Basilica of St. Mary.
The Basilica Block Party has just added its 21st and final band to its 2014 lineup, making it the biggest group of performers in its 20-year history. On Thursday, the Las Vegas rockers Panic! At The Disco was added to the lineup and will play on the event’s first day.
The Cities 97 Basilica Block Party will rock the streets of downtown Minneapolis for its 20th year. This year’s party will take place from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. both on Friday, July 11 and Saturday July 12 on the grounds of the Basilica of St. Mary.
