Benefit Concert For Barway Collins’ Mother Set For Sunday

A benefit concert has been scheduled for the mother of a 10-year-old boy who was found dead in the Mississippi River last month. There will be a concert for Louise Karluah, the mother of Barway Collins, at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Center.

The Cedar Cultural Center is holding a benefit concert for victims of an apartment fire and explosion that killed three people near downtown Minneapolis. The goal of Friday night’s concert is to raise money for victims and their family members. Organizers say it’s also a chance to bring the community together.

Cedar To Hold Benefit For Mpls. Fire Victims

The Cedar Cultural Center will hold a benefit concert to raise money for victims of a fatal apartment building fire near downtown Minneapolis. The concert takes place Jan. 24 at The Cedar, located on the Minneapolis West Bank. The Cedar is just down the street from where the New Year’s Day fire and explosion killed three people. The fire also destroyed a grocery store on the ground level and displaced tenants in 10 apartments.
