Minnesota Vikings Safety Harrison Smith Preparing For A Fine

Harrison Smith is likely going to get the fine of his young career following an unnecessary roughness penalty for a helmet-to-helmet hit in the Minnesota Vikings victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the safety is prepared for the fine, he is not sure it is right. Blair Walsh set the Vikings career record for 50-plus-yard field goals. The Vikings were forced to start two new starters in the secondary after Chris Cook and Jamarca Sanford were ruled out.

Christian Ponder’s broken ribs forced the Minnesota Vikings to start backup quarterback Matt Cassel. The nine-year veteran led the team to a 34-27 victory. The Vikings finally have something to build on this season with the consistent and trustworthy quarterback. Adrian Peterson needed 208 yards to break Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record, but fell nine yards short of the mark. The Minnesota Vikings offense matched the Green Bay Packers drive for drive before winning on a field goal as time expired. The game included drama, controversy and physicality.

Four Minnesota Vikings Named To The Pro Bowl, Multiple Players Snubbed

A lot has happened with the Minnesota Vikings. The team had four players selected to the Pro Bowl. Minnesota Vikings Shock Houston Texans

The Minnesota Vikings used its successful ball control, defensive domination formula to defeat the AFC South champion Houston Texans 23-6 Sunday at Reliant Stadium. Adrian Peterson grinded out 86 yards and Christian Ponder completed 16 of 30 passes to lift the Vikings. The defense held the Texans to 187 total yards and 22 points below their league leading average.
