President Obama and the First Lady hosted the annual White House Easter Egg Roll Monday morning. The event draws tens of thousands of people to the White House South Lawn each year. Among the kids there was Fridley fifth-grader, Graham Trocke-Fowler.
It was a reunion more than a quarter-century in the making for two Minnesota families who live thousands of miles away, and they believe Veteran’s Day was the perfect time to share it.
It was last month when we first were introduced to 8-year-old Gracie Flores, a young girl with brain cancer. On Thursday, Gracie’s cousin worked with other seventh graders to raise money, selling “Thinking of Gracie” bracelets.
