Linebacker Chad Greenway suffered a broken hand in the Minnesota Vikings Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots. The team believes he will be able to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome. Greenway was the only player to miss Thursday’s practice. They had eight players injured players that were either limited or full participants Thursday.
Matt Asiata will start in Adrian Peterson’s place for Minnesota, with the star running back inactive for the Vikings against New England.
The Minnesota Vikings listed nine players on the injury report, eight injured players and one non-injury related absence. Sharrif Floyd and Brandon Watts did not participate because of injuries and Adrian Peterson sat out for an undisclosed reason. Mike Harris, Charlie Johnson, Zach Line, Michael Mauti and Xavier Rhodes were limited in practice. Jabari Price was a full participant.
