The “Taste of Minnesota” is underway in a new location. Organizers say it’s been so popular, they’re running out of food and had to call in for more! The Fourth of July festival moved from Harriet Island in St. Paul, Minn. because of flooding, to the Carver County Fairgrounds in Waconia, Minn.
During President Obama’s visit Thursday to the Twin Cities, Gov. Mark Dayton said he’ll ask for federal disaster help. A flood warning remains in effect for many Minnesota rivers, including the Mississippi River. It’s expected to crest Thursday night in St. Paul at 20.5 feet.
The venue for “A Taste Of Minnesota” is shifting about 40 miles west due to heavy flooding in downtown St. Paul, Minn. The festival is moving from Harriet Island to the Carver County Fairgrounds in Waconia, Minn.
