The cause of a deadly New Year’s Day fire in Minneapolis remains a mystery one year later. Three people were killed and more than a dozen injured when the explosion and fire ripped through an apartment building in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood.
It was half a year ago Tuesday when a fire erupted through the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. It was early New Year’s Day morning when an apartment building exploded into flames. Three lost their lives six months ago, but for others that day was only the beginning of the pain.
Doctors say a 15-month-old Minneapolis boy is the definition of a miracle. He survived a fall from his 11-story balcony at an apartment in Riverside Plaza. Friends say the child’s father had walked into another room when he fell.
