Millions of people across the nation enjoyed a free ice cream cone on Monday. That’s because Dairy Queen is celebrating its 75th anniversary by handing out free vanilla cones all day. The first DQ opened in Joliet, Ill., in 1940 and seven years later, the first one in Minnesota opened in Roseville.
Tuesday morning you can eat free pancakes and in the process help children in need.
Police are thanking community members for helping apprehend the 48-year-old man who’s being held in connection with the recent thefts of at least two Children’s Miracle Network fundraising jars.
