A 51-year-old Apple Valley man has been sentenced to more than 6 years in prison after admitting to being high on meth while behind the wheel of a truck that caused a fatal crash.
County Road 101 in the west Twin Cities metro is back open between McGinty Road and Minnetonka Boulevard Saturday after it had to be shut down due to a water main break. According to Hennepin County officials, the main broke around 10:30 a.m.
A 24-year-old Minnetonka woman faces a felony charge for allegedly hitting and seriously injuring a pedestrian last June while texting and driving. Stephanie Deloye is charged with one count of criminal vehicular operation, court documents show. If convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of three years in prison and/ or a $10,000 fine.
At least one person was killed Tuesday morning in a crash involving four vehicles in Minnetonka, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to the crash at about 7:42 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 7 at County Road 101.
One of the busier roads west of the Twin Cities metro will be closed for most of Monday so crews can work to repair a broken water main.
