A 36-year-old Princeton woman was killed when the ATV she was driving crashed and rolled on top of her Monday afternoon, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office. At 3:15 p.m., deputies responded to the ATV crash on Lens Road, which is southeast of Emily, Minn. Authorities say the woman drove the ATV through a large puddle of water when the ATV rolled on top of her.
A 44-year-old Sartell man drowned while swimming in Clearwater Lake Thursday afternoon, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities responded to a call of a man missing in the lake around 1:37 p.m.
A man is in the hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the abdomen in Fifty Lakes, Minn. Friday evening. According to officials, police responded to a call of a possible home intrusion around 5:17 p.m. When officers reached the house they learned the male who called had suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

The Crow Wing County Landfill has paid a $12,000 fine for accepting and improperly disposing of 15 barrels of flammable liquid hazardous waste. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency says the hazardous waste accepted by the landfill in November 2012 posed a potential threat to human health.
