St. Paul Man Acquitted Of Murder Charges Against Police Officers

A 41-year-old West St. Paul man accused of shooting at two police officers after a fight at his home in March of 2012 was acquitted of murder charges, but was found guilty on felony assault charges, Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced Wednesday.

Man, 26, Dies After ATV Crash In Dakota County

Authorities said a 26-year-old man who was critically hurt in an ATV crash on the Fourth of July died Monday at Regions Hospital. The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at about 5:07 p.m. Thursday near the area of 180th Street and Goodwin Avenue.

A 26-year-old man was critically injured after crashing his all-terrain vehicle in Dakota County Thursday afternoon. Isaac James Lucking was traveling east on 180 Street near Goodwin Avenue when he lost control of the ATV.

So. St. Paul Police Sergeant Charged With DWI, Fleeing Cop

A South St. Paul Police sergeant was charged Friday with two counts of fourth-degree driving while impaired, one count of criminal damage to property and one count of fleeing a peace officer after a run in with Rosemount Police earlier this week. According to the Dakota County Attorney’s office, 26-year-old Cory Michael Slifko fled from a Rosemount Police officer who was attempting to pull him over around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
