Good Question: Why Do We Still Have Catalogs?

This holiday season, retailers are expected to send us nearly 13 billion catalogs. According to the American Catalog Mailers Association, that’s down from the peak in 2007 — 20 billion — but it’s still 41 catalogs for every man, woman and child in the U.S. every year.

Target, Best Buy Join ‘Thanksgiving Creep’

More and more stores are announcing that they’ll be open on Thanksgiving, and some will even be opening earlier. It’s a phenomena some call the “Thanksgiving creep.” On Monday, Target announced they would open on 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving – an hour earlier than last year. Another hometown company, Best Buy, will open even earlier, at 6 p.m.
