The Minnesota Vikings had a disappointing finish to an encouraging season. Jared Allen will undergo surgery on his shoulder after the Pro Bowl later this month. The Vikings now begin preparation for the draft in April and evaluating its 14 free agents.

Webb Ends Season For Vikings, Plenty To Ponder About What Could Have Been

The Minnesota Vikings felt good about its chances to beat the Green Bay Packers on the road in the wild card round of the NFC playoffs. However, starting quarterback Christian Ponder could not play and Joe Webb stepped in. That didn’t go very well and the Vikings lost 24-10.

Head Coach Believes Sunday Was The Way The Minnesota Vikings Need To Win

The Minnesota Vikings are in the thick of the playoff chase and their head coach believes they have the formula to win championships. Punter Chris Kluwe was fined for a uniform infraction. Chris Cook is on track to return from a broken arm in Week 16. The Vikings replaced wide receiver Percy Harvin on the 53-man roster with offensive tackle Troy Kropog. Minnesota signed tight end LaMark Brown to the practice squad to take Kropog’s spot.

Minnesota Vikings Fend Off Chicago Bears

The Minnesota Vikings held on for a 21-14 victory over the Chicago Bears Sunday at Mall of America Field. The offense was once again all about Adrian Peterson. He rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

Minnesota Vikings Overmatched In Chicago

The Minnesota Vikings had an extra week to prepare for the Chicago Bears, but still provided little resistance. The Vikings scored first, but surrendered 25 consecutive points before falling 28-10 at Soldier Field. Adrian Peterson topped 100 yards for the fifth straight game.

The Minnesota Vikings had four of its best offensive players on its injury report this week. Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder have been on the injury report in previous weeks, but Percy Harvin and Jerome Simpson were new this week. Harvin was injured during practice this week and Simpson felt leg weakness and numbness prior to the win over the Tennessee Titans.
