20K Gallons Of Sewage Leaked Into Rum River

An estimated 20,000 gallons of sewage ended up in the Rum River in what’s being called a minor spill, the City of Cambridge announced Tuesday. According to the city’s utilities department director Todd Schwab, on Monday at 6:35 p.m., the Cambridge Wastewater Treatment Facility was notified by the Isanti County Dispatch Office that a boater reported seeing liquid coming from a manhole cover and flowing into the Rum River.
