Wis. Court: Hunters Can Train Dogs On Wolves

A state appeals court ruled Thursday that hunters can train dogs to chase down wolves, rejecting arguments from a group of humane societies that wildlife officials are allowing deadly wolf-dog clashes and cementing one of the most contentious elements of Wisconsin wolf hunting.

St. Paul Woman Charged After Leaving Puppies In Dumpster

A St. Paul woman has been charged with animal cruelty after she allegedly dumped two puppies – one of them dead – into an animal hospital’s recycling dumpster in May. According to the criminal complaint, 47-year-old Anna Bertha Robole is accused of discarding the dogs behind the Scenic Hills Animal Hospital in St. Paul.

MPCA: Keep Your Pets Away From Algae-Filled Waters

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is advising pet owners to be cautious around lakes and slow-moving streams after the death of a dog in Sherburne County last weekend. The MPCA says Brock Tatge and his family, who live on Prairie Lake, were enjoying their Sunday when their dog, Copper, became ill after fetching a tennis ball from the lake.
