The celebration of legendary folk songwriter Bob Dylan in his hometown of Hibbing is on an “indefinite hiatus”, according to the Hibbing Dylan Days committee.
The northeastern Minnesota city of Hibbing kicks off its annual celebration of native son Bob Dylan this week. Dylan Days 2013 features music, poetry and a singer-songwriter contest. The three-day festival opens on Friday, the day Dylan turns 72.
Since 1991, singer-songwriter Bob Dylan’s (aka Robert Zimmerman) hometown of Hibbing, Minnesota has been celebrating its native son with a weekend full of festivities dubbed “Dylan Days.” This year, come out and celebrate his 71st birthday on May 24th.
Plans are brewing in Duluth for the Minnesota city’s first DylanFest, a celebration of folk-rock icon Bob Dylan during his 70th birthday.
