Rhodes, Floyd On Pace To Play Sunday For The Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings listed nine players on the injury report, eight injured players and one non-injury related absence. Sharrif Floyd and Brandon Watts did not participate because of injuries and Adrian Peterson sat out for an undisclosed reason. Mike Harris, Charlie Johnson, Zach Line, Michael Mauti and Xavier Rhodes were limited in practice. Jabari Price was a full participant.

Jack Jablonski To Do Treadmill Walkathon

Jack Jablonski is asking for support in his “Walk to Victory Over Paralysis.” He’s taking part in a treadmill walkathon Saturday at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in Golden Valley, where he made his incredible recovery after he was paralyzed in a high school hockey game on Dec. 30, 2011.

Even with more than 90 losses for three straight seasons, the Minnesota Twins have averaged more than 30,000 fans a game since Target Field opened in 2010. The ballpark itself is clearly part of the draw. “I love the architecture,” Jessi Oeltjen of Spring Valley said. “I’m a design buff, so just the architecture, the design, the layout. Once you get inside, there is not a bad seat in the house.”

Jack Jablonski, the 16-year-old high school hockey player who was paralyzed during a game in 2012, received a major honor Saturday. Minneapolis Youth Hockey retired Jablonski’s jersey number, 13. In 2012, a check from behind left Jablonski paralyzed.

Minnesota Vikings Disappoint In 2013

The Minnesota Vikings had higher expectations than the 5-10-1 record the team finished with in the 2013 season. The Vikings pass defense was abysmal in 2013 with five game-tying or game-winning scores in the final minute of the game. The team used three starting quarterbacks, including Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel for small stretches twice. The team fired head coach Leslie Frazier very early Monday morning.
