A Brooklyn Park man has pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide in the hit-and-run crash that killed a 70-year-old woman in March. Perry Bernard Atkins, 25, pleaded guilty last Friday.
A man is dead after suffering a gunshot wound overnight, according to police. Authorities say officers responded to a 911 call of a shooting in the 3400 block of Fremont Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers located a man lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound.
A house fire on the 4600 block of Minnehaha Avenue Friday night turned fatal. Firefighters were able to pull the victim and a pet from the home, but the individual died at the scene.

A head-on crash with a freight semi killed a Foley woman late Friday night in Benton County, according to the state patrol. Authorities are investigating the incident that killed Cynthia Zillmer, 57, of Foley, Minn., at about 11:20 p.m. Friday just outside of Gilman on Highway 25 in central Minnesota.
Police say a motorcyclist was killed early Sunday after colliding with a limo bus in Minneapolis. Officers were dispatched to the intersection at West 27th Street and Emerson Avenue South around 3:04 a.m. Sunday. Police say the motorcyclist, a man, was traveling west on 27th when it hit a limo bus, traveling south on Emerson.
A 63-year-old St. Paul man was hit and killed by a semi Friday afternoon at a gas station in Hixton, Wis., authorities said. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Glenn Michael Augustine was walking away from his own semi at the Hixton Travel Plaza parking lot, when he was hit and killed around 4:09 p.m. Friday by another semi pulling into the station to fuel up.
The state patrol is investigating a fatal crash that took place Wednesday night on I-35 at County Road 17.
A 66-year-old from Rochester, Minn., died Saturday in a two-car crash at the intersection of Highway 42 and Highway 14 outside of Eyota, Minn., the state patrol said.
